Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad returned over the weekend from Lebanon and resumed his attacks against Israel. On Sunday, he said that the "Zionist regime is going to hell." Addressing Iranians in northwestern city of Ardebil, the Iranian leader spoke about the pressures against Lebanon following his recent trip to that country and said, "you see how much they put Lebanese people under pressure over invitation of an Iranian." "What happened following the pressures? what came in Lebanon will change all equations in the Middle East and in the world," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency.

Ahmadinejad added that the occupying powers' presence in the region will end by regional nations, if they refuse to leave the region.

Ahmadinejad also spoke about the West's sanctions against Iran and said, "industrious Iranians will build the same goods sanctioned and they will export them." And added: "The Iranian nation will not yield to illogical demands, we not only have provided our own required petrol, but we have exported some part of it as well."
