A bomb exploded in Gaza near an Egyptian army convoy, Reuters reports.
The Egyptian military responded to the incident by firing warning shots into the air.
Hamas, the Islamist group that governs Gaza, said Palestinian positions had come under fire from Egyptian soil with no justification, according to Reuters.
"Fire was directed in a surprising, unjustified way and without any violation from the Palestinian side," said Eyad al-Bozom, a spokesman for Gaza's Hamas-run interior ministry.
Earlier this week, Cairo courts blacklisted Hamas, accusing the organization of being involved in and financing terrorist attacks inside Egypt, and of attacking army and police personnel to destabilise the country
