Gaza Strip: At least 17 Palestinians wounded in Israeli air strikes

At least 17 Palestinians were wounded, including seven children and two women, late Monday night and early Tuesday, in a series of air raids by Israeli warplanes on different areas in the Gaza Strip. Eyewitnesses said that Israeli warplanes attacked Tuwam neighborhood north-west of Gaza and also targeted a factory in the Tufah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

The Israeli strikes included also a metal workshop in the Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza. Strikes reported also on the Maqqousi area north west of Gaza and on the town of Khuza'a, east of Khan Younis.

Witnesses said that the raids led to the injury of 17 civilians, They were taken to hospitals for treatment. In addition the strikes caused extensive material damage to property and homes, and created a state of fear and panic among the residentss, especially children.

Early Tuesday, residents said that Israeli warplanes were still flying over in the skies of Gaza.
