Qatar PM opposes US attack on Iran

Qatar's Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al-Thani on Monday said his country is against any military action in the region, adding that the prospects of war in the region already exist. In response to a question on statements made by the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen, who said there are U.S. plans against Iran, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim said that "Iran is our neighbor in the Gulf, and Qatar has always sought to resolve this issue through diplomacy and negotiations" .

On Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in a speech on the occasion of Army Day that "real peace in the Middle East moves away and the prospects of war increase."
