Saudi Arabia's 86-year-old King Abdullah on Wednesday refuted reports on his deteriorating health. He said he is in good health in a television appearance on Wednesday, a week after doctors advised him to rest due to a herniated disc. "I am fine, my health is good and I hope all of you are fine as well," the king was seen telling an audience he gave on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha festival.
"I don't know what happened to me, I had something bothering me, some called it a herniated disc while others said it was sciatica," said Abdullah, who supported himself with a cane while he was walking.
Last Friday the royal court announced the king's doctors had told him to take it easy due to a slipped disc.
