Egyptian officials said that five ports on the Red Sea were closed Wednesday due to bad weather conditions. Port Commission Chairman, Mamdouh Daraz told Reuters that the wind and rising tides have caused five ports to close, while further disruptions and closures may occur over the next 48 hours due to the bad weather.
Security sources added that the bad weather and heavy rains led to the death of four people and 35 people were injured in car accidents on three main highways near Cairo.
