A French peacekeeper died on Tuesday when his vehicle toppled near the southern Lebanese border town of Kfarshouba, AFP reported.
Peacekeepers from the Indian contingent recovered the soldier's body.

UNIFIL military spokesman Col. Naresh Bhatt conveyed the accident took place while the peacekeeper from a UNIFIL engineering company was performing engineering work for the "safety of the force in the area." Another peacekeeper was wounded in the accident in the vicinity of Kfarshouba, he said.
