A Syrian rights activist on Thursday conveyed that Syrian army soldiers and tanks were moving into more areas across the country in a bid to crush the ongoing uprising. According to the AP, Mustafa Osso said on Thursday that troops backed by tanks have deployed around the central city of Hama.
Other activists claimed security forces dispersed some 2,000 demonstrators late Wednesday at the university campus in Aleppo.
Earlier, a human rights group said at least 19 people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy on Wednesday during clashes in the city of Homs.
