At least two Palestinians were killed Friday in an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank, witnesses said. The Palestinians were killed when Israeli troops raided the city of Hebron late on Thursday. The men were members of Hamas' armed wing the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades. Palestinian security officials named them as Maamun Natsheh, a 24-year-old from Hebron, and Nashat Karni, 33, who was a local leader for the group in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli troops have imposed a closure on the city since midnight and demolished at least one house where Palestinian fighters have taken a refuge. Locals said some 40 military vehicles entered the city backed by helicopters.
