The MasterCard Penalty Challenge offers football fans the chance to play and win while showcasing their skills

MasterCard Worldwide launched another element of its Zain Saudi League’s sponsorship; a unique Football Penalty Shoot Out across Jeddah & Riyadh. The challenge was designed to drive excitement among the Saudi fans and also give them an opportunity to enhance their football skills and talent. This comes after the recent launch of MasterCard’s uniting football song ‘Everyone Can Play’.
Every football fan in the Kingdom is invited to register for the challenge online which will take place on May 18th and 19th at Red Sea Mall in Jeddah and on May 25th and 26th at Granada Mall in Riyadh. A computer will randomly select a total of 320 winners (160 Riyadh, 160 Jeddah) out of the entries, who will subsequently be divided into 5-member teams to shoot penalties. The grand prize consists of SAR100,000 for the 1st team while the runner-up team will be awarded SAR20,000.
A MasterCard Red and Yellow Football Team will be promoting the challenge across universities and malls where Red & Yellow MasterCard branded footballs will be distributed among the fans. This will be followed by a marketing campaign that will be launched across the Kingdom highlighting the details of the challenge.
