Mobily launches Baby Ultra Sound MMS service

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) launched a high value innovative service for expecting parents in cooperation Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group, according to a statement issued by the company on Wednesday.
With “Baby Ultra Sound MMS” service, expecting parents can now receive their baby’s ultra sound image and video via MMS after their visit to their doctor at Dr. Suliman Al-Habib Hospital.
Baby Ultrasound MMS service solution is one of many coming mHealth initiatives from by Mobily in cooperation with Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group.
“This exclusive service with Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group allows expecting mothers to share their happiness using high quality images that can be passed around between family and friends through MMS, social networks or even email,” said Sami Nashwan, Mobily’s Senior Vice president for Consumer Marketing.
“Wireless communications stands to fundamentally change the healthcare experience, connecting caregivers, patients and loved ones in real-time and over long distances to share critical medical data,” said Jay Srage, Vice President of Business Development for the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia at Qualcomm.
He added: “Realizing this goal requires an ecosystem of partners working together. Qualcomm is very pleased to collaborate with Mobily and Dr. Suliman Al Habib Hospital in helping bring the innovative Mobile Baby service to the Saudi public.”
Launching this service, Mobily has introduced another market making service that touches the lives of the public. And what more significant than sharing the happiness of a new family member.
Mobile Baby Service is the first in a series of (mHealth) services that will be launched in cooperation between Mobily and Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group. Similar revolutionary services will follow the finalization of trials being conducted in collaboration with Swedish telecom giant, Ericsson.
