Egyptian singer Mohammad Hamaki has stated that has no plans to sing in the Gulf accent now or any time in the future. Mohammad admitted that he considers the Gulf accent a very hard one to master if you are not a native of any of the Gulf countries. He added that he knows his capabilities and therefore does not want to attempt to sing in the Gulf accent and jeopardize his image by performing badly.
At the same time, Mohammad stated that Egyptian and Lebanese singers who sing in the Gulf accent do so in order to get closer to their Gulf fans in the Gulf region. The singer noted that non Gulf singers who sing in the Gulf accent are attempting a daring act because they cannot guarantee that they will meet the expectations of their Gulf fans.
