Nawras is participating in the Education and Omanisation Expo being held at Oman International Exhibition Centre until 21 April.  This is the third year running that the Sultanate’s customer friendly communications provider will be showcasing the many advantages and great opportunities that exist for the development of a rewarding career with this fast growing company.

A strong presence at JOBEX is in line with the company’s mission to be not only the communications provider of choice but also the employer of choice in Oman, After just six years, Nawras is now employing some 1,100 people and is proud of its Omanisation level of 90% in mobile operations, 73% in fixed and 87% overall.

Visitors to JOBEX will be encouraged to ask questions and invited to learn more about the career development plans and extensive training offered by Oman’s pleasingly different telecommunications company.

Nawras recently created 150 new jobs which represented a 17% increase in employee numbers. This was one of the highest percentage increases in employee numbers in the private sector, following the national recruitment drive for job seekers.

Last month Nawras took part in the careers fair held at Sultan Qaboos University, for the second year. Students expressed great interest in the way that Nawras designs career plans for the development of its people and were eager to know more about the rewarding opportunities being offered by this fast growing company.

In 2010, Nawras launched its graduate programme Ruwaad Al-Nawras. After attracting more than 2,400 applicants, a total of 33 graduates were offered positions. They are currently undergoing their 18-month training programme and gaining valuable experience in different areas of the business including marketing, engineering, finance and IT.

Six years since formation, Nawras, a Qtel Group company, is now the fourth largest MSM-listed company by market capitalisation.
