NBK launches energy saving awareness campaign at the Avenues

Put your energy into saving energy campaign: NBK

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) launched today its energy conservation awareness campaign tagged "Put your energy into Saving Energy". NBK staff will hand out 10,000 long life energy-saving light bulbs at the Avenues Mall July 7 -9.

“The Energy Saving Awareness Campaign aims to raise people’s awareness and promote best practice efforts to reduce energy consumption,” said Yaqoub Al Baqer, NBK Public Relations Officer. This new initiative is part of the 'Think Twice' environmental campaign NBK launched four years ago.

Al Baqer added: “NBK staff and summer interns of NBK Academy will be present for two days at the Avenues Mall to distribute more than 10,000 long-life light energy saving bulbs to the public for free. We encourage people to take advantage of these bulbs as they have an incredibly positive impact on electricity conservation. They last 10 times longer and use one-third less than the energy needed to power regular incandescent bulbs.”
