New line of Samsung LED and Multi-Display Monitors to be revealed at GITEX

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the worldwide leader of display products, will reveal its new line of 31 Series LED Monitors and MD (multi-display) monitors at GITEX 2010, establishing new standards for high-definition LED viewing and multi-display viewing. Both Samsung LED monitors and MD monitors set new standards in imaging excellence delivering Samsung's commitment to quality and innovation to its consumers.

MD Multi Display Monitors

These unique MD Monitors, which will be displayed in the Microsoft stand at GITEX, give PCs the ability to seamlessly connect up to six ultra high definition displays in a variety of portrait and landscape configurations giving viewers a stunning new perspective on their PC experience. Multi-display brings Samsung closer to delivering true eye-definition experiences, where the display of a virtual environment is so detailed that it seems optically real to the human eye. By using AMD's ATI Eyefinity technology, it is now possible to power displays with a combined theoretical resolution of 268 megapixels, roughly equivalent to the resolution of a 90 degree arc of what the human eye sees. For reference, today's average 19 inch LCD display typically has an image quality of only slightly more than 1 megapixel.

Samsung MD monitors expand game and virtual world environments to the largest ever experienced, allowing gamers to experience richer visual effects. Samsung MD monitors also come with an ATI Radeon HD5000 series graphic card. For entertainment, education, and productivity applications, Samsung MD monitors practically obsolete scrolling through vast desktop real estate that puts more information and stunning detail at users' fingertips.

Samsung is the first to bring MD monitors to the market. Working closely with AMD, Samsung introduced ultra-thin bezel monitors and compatible stands that can easily be tiled to create an even more immersive and virtually seamless AMD's ATI Eyefinity experience. The ultra-thin bezels enable customers to create their own scalable display matrix.

31 Series Monitors

Samsung 31 Series LED monitors are affordable units providing the latest innovations in a variety of sizes making it easier for consumers to switch from LCD to LED technologies. The newly announced 19 mm slim monitor has a low power consumption saving approximately 40% more than a conventional monitor. The series come in sizes varying from 18.5", 20", 21.5", in a classy wave pattern back cover and high glossy black cabinet for a unique high-quality finish. The 31 series LED monitors promise a unique viewing experience never seen before in entry level monitors. With Samsung's Mega DCR technology, and supporting Full HD 1080p viewing from 21.5", the devices provide an engaging experience second to none.
