The Mother Baby and Child Show 2006, which is due to take place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) on December 14-16, promises three days full of fun and games for all of the family. Event organiser TME has put together an all-new and exciting schedule which includes, star of the show, the lovable TV character Barney.
Barney helps children develop a range of skills essential for their personal development and apart from appearing live at the show, Barney will also be launching a limited-edition DVD, which will only be available at the show for the first three days of its release. Video Master will be previewing highlights of the new DVD in Arabic and English, as well as retailing DVD’s and merchandise of Barney and other children’s favourite TV characters.
The main stage schedule is packed with activities from 10am to 10pm and certainly star-struck kids will be in awe during the musical shows which feature personal appearances by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Care Bears and numerous other Space Toon characters including every little girl’s favourite figure, Fulla.
Shannon Norris, Exhibition Director, TME, said, “These cuddly characters have been entertaining the young and the young at heart for up to half a century now, a testimony to their enduring appeal and will bring a touch of glamour and excitement to a fun-filled three-day programme.”
This year’s show has attracted an impressive array of over 120 brands, retailers and entertainment providers. However, the ethos of the show embraces a wholesome approach to family and childcare, highlighting issues affecting not only children but parents and mums. In addition, Mothercare is also providing their Pushchair Testing Assault Course, in a very practical ‘try it before you buy it’ concept.
