‘Dubai Reads’ winners hounored

‘DUBAI READS’ WINNERS HONOURED

Dubai, June 6th 2010
The Omar Ibn al Khattab Model School honoured the winners of the ‘Dubai Reads’ contest recently. The ceremony was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development  in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The contest, which was the second of its kind, attracted wide participation from students from the secondary level of the Arabic language stream. Aimed to promote the habit of reading and spark the creative process among youngsters aged 11 to 15, the contest drew a large audience including delegations from the ministries and leading writers and intellectuals.
Presenting the awards were  Khalifa Buamaim, Director of Government Communications and Amina Al Khalil, Director of Community Development at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
