Commerce is the backbone of the UAE economy – over the last decade the UAE has emerged as the business hub of the Middle East. With commercial development, comes responsibility to the environment and with this in mind, organisations need to adopt best practices to help save energy and create a sustainable environment for the future. On a corporate level, it is the creation of environmentally responsible products and investing in green technology that gives consumers the ability to adopt sensible and energy-efficient solutions that benefit not only the environment but the business community as well.

To mark World Environment Day on 5th of June 2010, Canon Middle East has launched a laser network campaign aimed at encouraging companies to embrace green technology. As part of the promotion, UAE-based companies will be offered one-off special deals as well as an additional one year onsite warranty that will provide customers with continued after-sales-support.

“Today’s consumers are more environmentally aware than ever before. It has become increasingly evident that the environmental impact of products plays an important part in their purchasing decisions as they try to reduce levels of energy consumption. Conversely, the business community’s ultimate priority is to increase cost savings and improve technological efficiency. It is therefore vital that this environmental consciousness is reflected at a business level.” said Bittu Mattam, Product Manager, Laser Printers, Canon Middle East.

The new i-SENSYS range of printers is part of Canon’s ongoing commitment to minimising environmental burden through the effective application of environmentally friendly technologies. With the lowest TEC (Total Electrical Consumption) rating in its class, as defined by Energy Star, i-SENSYS laser printers are the choice for organisations looking to move towards an ‘eco friendly’ office without compromising on productivity.
