Nashwa Al Ruwaini delves into the lives of the elderly on this week’s inspiring episode of ‘Nashwa.’ Nashwa talks to a group of senior citizens and discovers that this stage of life can either be transferred into a new beginning full of adventures and activities or be turned into a life of misery as elderly parents are abandoned by their children.

‘Nashwa’ is aired on Dubai TV every Monday at 22:30 and repeated every Saturday at 18:00.

The program welcomes a couple who became acquainted with each other at a senior citizen’s home, became attached to each other and decided to continue on their happy journey and see where it takes them.

A Bahraini man talks of his experiences at a senior citizen’s home where he spends his days with friends of his age with the same interests as himself. They spend their days doing useful activities, traveling and visiting family members without feeling as if they are a burden on their children.

The show concludes by welcoming a girl who sent Nashwa a message through the Nashwa website, www.nashwa.tv, and whose wish it was to meet Nashwa and talk to her about her experiences as an expatriate which she has turned into a book.
