‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai 2006’, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s (HKTDC) annual trade event will present the region’s buyers with a wide range of innovatively-designed, top-quality, lifestyle products, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 17 to 20, 2006.
Over 230 exhibitors will participate in the third edition of ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai’, which is expected to draw thousands of buyers from all over the Middle East. ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai 2006’ constitutes an important event in the 30 world-class international exhibitions the HKTDC organises and the 200 trade fairs it participates in worldwide every year.

“‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai 2006’ showcases Hong Kong’s vast variety of lifestyle products in Dubai, which is the trading hub of the Middle East market. With every successive edition of the trade fair, Hong Kong has consolidated its stature as an international market place and sourcing centre for upmarket, quality products,” he added.
Products on display at ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai 2006’ include elegant semi-precious and costume jewellery; competitively-priced timepieces; gifts and creative premiums; high-performing household appliances; imaginative and educational toys; plush furnishings; value-added consumer electronics; trendy, designer apparel and footwear.
Top-quality tableware and glassware; lighting products; stationery and office equipment; luggage and leather goods; crystal goods; artwork; hotel supplies; audio and video systems; fashion accessories; decorations; cables and home security systems too will be displayed. For the first time, the fair will host a special zone on construction materials to meet the growing demand from this sector in many Middle East economies.
Underscoring the growing popularity of ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai’, Naresh Narwani, Director, M Bux Group, one of the largest exhibitors at the fair, said: “Through our presence at ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai,’ demand for our BUXTRON brand has increased by almost 50 per cent. In our first year of participation we were looking for joint venture partnerships and distributors in the region. ‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai’ will reach a target audience of 21,000 potential importers, re-exporters and traders in addition to the more than 15,000 buyers drawn from the UAE, GCC, Egypt, Levant and the Indian Subcontinent, expected at the concurrent Dubai International Autumn Trade Fair, a major multiple trade event showcasing general consumer products in the region.
‘Style Hong Kong in Dubai’ will also feature booths where advisors from Hong Kong will offer visitors free one-on-one consultations on services pertaining to investment procedures, business law, tax issues, domestic sales, customs declaration, product inspection, trade marks, patents and the advantages that Hong Kong offers to companies in the Middle East who are interested in doing business with China.
