10 killed as Cargo Plane Crashes in Moscow

Ten people were killed when a Russian cargo plane crashed on Saturday after taking off from a military airport near Moscow, defense officials were quoted in reports as saying.  

The four-engine Il-76 cargo jet was taking off from the Chkalovsky military airport, about 20 miles northeast of Moscow, when it went down, the Defense Ministry duty officer told The Associated Press.  

All 10 crew members died, the duty officer said. There were no passengers aboard the aircraft, he said – Albawaba.com
