11 Taliban Killed, 4 Injured in 'Clearing Operations' in Afghan's Helmand

Eleven Taliban militants, including two commanders, have been killed and some others wounded during a clearing operation in the Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province, an official said on Sunday.

Abdul Salaam Afghan, the governor’s spokesman, said the security force conducted the raid in Zarghoon and Naqil Abad localities of the district late on Saturday.

He said eight insurgents, including Mullah Zaki and Mullah Nasar, were killed and four others wounded.

Meanwhile, deputy spokesman for 2015thMaiwand Military Corps Nawab Shah Zadran said three militants were killed in Mohajir Bazaar, Yakhchal, Haji Aziz, Haji Qaium, Adam Khan and Zarghoon villages of Greshk district.

However, the Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed nine security personnel were killed in Nad Ali and Greshk districts late on Saturday night.
