1st Annual Quran Award To Be Held In Dubai

The Dubai International Holy Quarn Award announced the first annual competition for all UAE nationals and residents, male and female.  

 

Gulf News daily reports that the competition, the first of its kind, will be organized under three divisions: memorizing the whole Quran, memorizing 20 chapters, and memorizing 10 chapters. The criteria for the points include 70 points for memorizing, 25 for observing the specific rules of Quranic recitation and five more for performance and voice. The top ten in the first division will receive prizes ranging between Dh 30,000 and Dh 12,000.  

 

The prizes of the top ten in the second division range between Dh 20,000 and Dh 10,000, while the top ten in the third division will receive prizes ranging between Dh 10,000 and Dh 5,500. (Dh3.67=$1). For more information about the competition, visit the website at Quran Award .
