More than 200 women will gather in Bahrain on Saturday to secure legal rights for women throughout the Arab world, reported the Gulf Daily.

Participants will attend a two-day ‘Women and Law Forum,’ said the paper.

The conference would concentrate on the legal status of women in the Arab world and the legal framework that guarantees their rights, said the paper.

The conference is the first of around five forums being held in the Arab world this year, each focusing on a different issue of concern to women, such as society, media and finance.

The Arab delegations taking part include professional women, women’s affairs experts and women legal advisers – Albawaba.com
