Twenty-one passengers were slightly injured Wednesday when a Pakistani passenger jet on a flight from Peshawar burst a tire while landing in Dubai, the official WAM news agency reported.
Sheikh Ahmad bin Said Al Maktoum, the president of Dubai’s Civil Aviation Department, had said the back wheel had broken, and that the jet lost balance.
He told the agency that the plane sustained slight damage, while all the passengers left the plane “safe and sound.”
Dubai International Airport was forced to close for four hours after the incident, the agency said.
The PIA aircraft, an Airbus A-300 was carrying 139 passengers and 11 crew, 21 of them were slightly injured, a source at the airport had told the agency.
