Pet lovers can look forward to the 22nd Pedigree® & Whiskas® Dubai Pet Show that begins on January 29, 2010, at Dubai Festival City. Held during the 15th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival, the Pet Show is organised every year with the aim of providing a fun day out for families, promoting responsible pet ownership, and raise awareness of owning a pet in addition to offering animal rescue groups the opportunity to promote their charitable services to the public.
Lasting almost ten hours from 8am to 6pm, the event features show classes for pedigree and crossbreed dogs, fun classes for dogs and their handlers, agility competition for dogs and handlers, and police dog demonstrations. Additionally, cat lovers can view a range of pedigree cats in the Whiskas® tent including the Arabian Mau cats.
Veterinary professionals will also hold short lectures on pet care through the day. The Arabian Saluki Centre at the venue will welcome visitors to its tent where they can learn the centuries-old tradition of desert hunting with Salukis. The show is not only for pet lovers and includes fun fair rides and games for children, face painting, and balloon twisting.
