Around 3,000 pro-Palestinian supporters marched through Paris Saturday to demand sanctions against Israel, while a further 350 demonstrated in the northern city of Lille demanding an Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territory.
The Paris demonstrators, representing around 30 associations, urged French and European governments "to adopt significant sanctions against the state of Israel, breaking off all military, cultural and economic cooperation."
In Lille, demonstrators called on Israel to "withdraw totally from Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem," according to a statement by the 25 associations that organized the march -- PARIS (AFP)
