35 Nationals complete PRO training programme conducted by Tanmia in cooperation with DNRD and Dubai Police
Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, today (Tuesday, April 08, 2008) held a graduation ceremony for a batch of 35 UAE Nationals who successfully completed an eight-week Public Relations Officer (PRO) training programme conducted by Tanmia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) and Dubai Police. The training programme was held from November 3rd, 2007 to January 15th, 2008.
The graduation ceremony, held at the offices of the Ministry of Public Works in Dubai, in the presence of Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Tanmia’s Board of Trustees.
“We thank the Ministry of Labour, DNRD and Dubai Police for their invaluable support to the PRO training programme,” said Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer. “This intensive training course was aimed at equipping the candidates with the knowledge and skills required to efficiently carry out their duties as public relations officers in both private and public sector companies. We are pleased with the response and success of the PRO training programme to date and we are certain that the programme will continue to attract strong participation from UAE National jobseekers.”
“The private sector in the UAE does not have enough confidence in the abilities of UAE Nationals, which is why Tanmia has been striving hard to change this false perception,” added Al Tayer.
Tanmia’s PRO training sessions cover topics such as office management, communication, customer service excellence, etiquette, report writing, body language, and residency and labour laws, with special sessions from Dubai Police, Ministry of Labour and DNRD.
