At least 36 people have been killed because of airstrikes and fighting in conflict-ridden Yemen, according to AFP.
Planes belonging to a Saudi-led coaltion hit a rebel convoy with airstrikes to back up an offensive against loyalist forces in Yemen's second city Aden. Fighting also continued in the third city of Taiz, officials said.
AFP reported that at least 20 rebels were killed in overnight airstrikes, with two tanks and four armored vehicles also destroyed.
In Taiz 16 people were killed as soldiers loyal to exiled President Abed Rabbou Mansour Hadi battled against an attack on their base by Houthi Shiite rebels.
Three civilians were among the dead after a stray shell hit their home.
