At least 38 people were killed Sunday when Yemen's rebel forces clashed with tribes near a southern oil region, a security official and tribal sources told AFP.
Sources said the fighting occurred when tribesmen attacked rebel positions in Usaylan, an oil-rich area in the Shabwa province.
