ALBAWABA- At least 51 people have been killed and 219 injured after a Russian Iskander ballistic missile struck a Ukrainian military training facility and a hospital in Poltava, located in central-eastern Ukraine. 

This marks the deadliest Russian missile attack on Ukrainian soil this year.

The attack comes amid escalating tensions following Ukraine's recent incursion into the Russian border, where Ukrainian forces seized several areas in the Kursk region. 

This move has been perceived as a significant escalation, allegedly supported by Western allies, prompting Russia's intensified retaliatory strikes.
