Gwyneth Paltrow teamed up with famous producer/director father Bruce Paltrow to come up wit this movie which talks about six problematic drifters with one thing in common; Karaoke. 

The six characters in Duets includes the small-town singer headed for Hollywood (Maria Bello), the young cabbie searching for integrity (Scott Speedman), the ex-con with the voice of an Angel (Andre Braugher), the burned-out salesman with a new lease on life (Paul Giamatti) and the Karaoke hustler (Huey Lewis) who learns at a later time in his age that he has a daughter (Gwyneth Paltrow)

The six are working their way through the interstates and karaoke bars of middle America. Throughout the movie, they pair up and come together to compete for the $5000 grand prize in a karaoke contest. 

This Comedy is rated R for language and some sexuality. 

The movie was directed and produced by Bruce Paltrow and produced also by Kevin Jones and John Byrum, who also wrote the script. Buena Vista released the film. 

Its total running time is 2 hours and 11 minutes. 

In its first week out, the movie that ties with Scary Movie has grossed $2,000,000
