Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas is demanding Israel end its “escalation” after Israel bombed the Gaza Strip heavily in response to rocket fire from Palestinian militants.
According to AFP, over 60 rockets struck southern Israel since Wednesday.
Israel responded by carrying out raids on 29 targets in Gaza, mostly hitting bases controlled by Hamas and the Quds Brigade.
Mahmoud Abbas said Thursday that Israel should “put an end to its military escalation in the besieged Gaza Strip.”
There have been no reports of casualties on either side.
