Abu Dhabi media company drives middle east presence at miptv 2008

Abu Dhabi Media Company, a diversified media and entertainment conglomerate based in the United Arab Emirates' capital, is putting Abu Dhabi on the international media map at MIPTV 2008, the world’s audiovisual and digital content market taking place in Cannes, France, between 7-11 April 2008.

"MIPTV is a perfect platform for the team to engage with industry leaders and advance our strategy to pioneer a new era of digital media across the Middle East," says Edward Borgerding, Abu Dhabi Media Company’s newly-appointed CEO and former Disney executive. Borgerding is joined in Cannes by Ricky Ghai, Executive Director of Digital Media, who is focusing on converting break-through digital media deals.

"We have exciting plans for digital content acquisition and distribution in the region," says Ghai, who has 20 years’ media experience across a spectrum of pay and free TV platforms in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.  "MIPTV is the world’s biggest market for entertainment and Abu Dhabi Media Company is here and open for business.”
