Abu Dhabi National Hotels, a company that own several hotels in the UAE and that operates other hotels in addition to its own, has announced strong expansion plans for the coming year.
A company official confirmed plans to open three new four-star hotels in Abu Dhabi by the middle of next year to the Gulf News. The company and its subsidiaries currently own four five-star hotels in Abu Dhabi, six executive hotels, and two resorts. The company also manages other hotels and properties in the UAE, and plans to add to this aspect of its operations as well.
Abu Dhabi National Hotels is also heavily involved in other aspects of the tourism and hospitality industries in the Gulf, operating taxis, catering services, rental cars and other services throughout the region. The company has been expanding these operations internationally in recent years.
Established in 1978, Abu Dhabi National Hotels earned a net profit of Dh160 million for 2000 and expects similar returns this year. The company reported over Dh1.2 billion in equity. (www.albawaba.com)
