Acer Mobility Products to Take Centre Stage at Exhibition;
IT Vendor Achieves Market Leading Position In Advance of GITEX 2007
Acer Computer, one of the world’s key IT vendors and Dubai Quality Award winner is looking to build upon its market leading position at GITEX 2007, being held from the 8 to 12 September.
At this year’s GITEX, visitors will be able to see and preview Acer’s professional and consumer range of products including desktop and mobile PCs, displays, servers and storage, and business solutions for business, government, and education.
“Acer products empower people, and GITEX gives us a chance to showcase global innovations for Middle East customers,” said Krishna Murthy, General Manager, Acer Middle East.
Acer’s strong focus on its three key areas - convergence, mobility, and enterprise will be evident at GITEX. The IT vendor’s increased focus in its mobility products range has made Acer the market leader for notebooks in the Middle East. It presently commands market share of 24.2% and achieved year-on-year growth of 50 percent.
“Providing a value-based portfolio for our customers is important for Acer. Our products must continuously meet the demand of the customers,” added Murthy.
As well as running live demonstrations of its entire product range, Acer will host senior managers to discuss specific customer issues in a one-to-one environment. As part of the exhibition, Acer will also have numerous promotions and deals for visitors.
“GITEX is all about the visitors. We want to make the exhibition about our customers and more than satisfy the demands they place on us, be it for products or for IT support,” added Murthy.
Acer Computer (M.E) has been awarded ‘Superbrands’ status for 2007 by the Superbrands organisation, an independent arbiter on branding.
