Acer Computer looks to make a major impact at this year’s Cairo ICT 2007, Egypt’s pre-eminent computer and telecommunications exhibition, being held at Cairo International Conference Center 4-7 February.
The Middle East’s number two PC vendor – which has a history of success in the consumer, corporate and government sectors – is realizing significant growth in Egypt with Cairo ICT set to become a strong platform for growth in the region’s most populous market.
Shashank Sharma, Acer Country Manager for Egypt, KSA and East Africa said: “The Middle East markets are increasingly demanding more in terms of its IT expectations as regional businesses and governments are more and more reliant on the resolute, secure and efficient storage and transmission of information in order to meet compliance and synergies for dealing with the international community.”
“With the second-largest market share in the region, our Middle East portfolio is one of our fastest growth areas worldwide and, as Acer expects to achieve the global number three spot by the end of 2007, we are pleased to note the region’s contribution and the penetration the Acer brand is having towards this growth,” continued Sharma.
ICT 2007 will see Acer make an official statement on the last quarter and end-of-year 2006 results, with a further announcement on an initiative set to revolutionise the PC market across Egypt.
