Abu Dhabi Airports Company this week took part in a major US-based aviation conference in Dallas, Texas to showcase plans for Abu Dhabi’s new airport.

The Airport Cities World Conference and Exhibition showcases the expansion of airports around the world and this year has been hosted by the Dallas Fort Worth Airport Authority.

ADAC Director of Marketing & Communications, Mohammed Al Bulooki, led a team from the Abu Dhabi Airports Company to showcase to the aviation community the plans for Abu Dhabi International Airport and the opportunities available to commercial enterprises as plans for the new airport move from the drawing board and come to life.

Speaking at the conference Al Bulooki told executives from the US, Europe and Asia that ADAC’s master plan for the airport would allow business and commercial enterprise to flourish.

“The planned Free Zone, commercial district and the new terminal itself with more than 25,000 square metres of retail space will allow businesses to establish themselves and flourish.

Within the next five years homes, retail space, schools and leisure facilities will be developed around the airport offering companies wishing to set up in Abu Dhabi an attractive and affordable environment for their employees and the employer.”

ADAC’s participation in the Texas conference is part of its strategy to market opportunities for commercial enterprise and investment around the airport to a worldwide audience. Each year it takes the Abu Dhabi story and the vision with the Government’s 2030 plan to conferences and exhibitions in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Mohammed Al Bulooki told the audience that Abu Dhabi airport was experiencing unprecedented growth in both passenger numbers and new airlines wishing to use the airport.

Jet Airways is the latest airline to announce plans to operate from Abu Dhabi when it begins scheduled services on April 23.
