Sunshine Tours, a division of Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), signed today an agreement with Travco, a leading travel group based in Egypt, to set up new joint venture named “ADNH Travco”. This agreement follows a memorandum of understanding signed earlier to implement tourism development and hotel investment projects in the UAE.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Talal Abdulla Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Deputy General Director of Hotels, ADNH, and Mr. Osama Bushra, Regional General Manager, Travco, at the ADNH stand at the inaugural Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meeting Exhibition (GIBTM), which is being held at the new Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) during 13-15 March 2007.
According to the agreement, ADNH Travco will develop new travel, tourism and hospitality related projects in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and expand into other regions. The new company will also organize tours in the UAE and the Middle East.
Al Fahim said: “This joint venture comes at a time when the tourism sector in the Middle East in general and UAE in particular is witnessing a boom. With its unique travel industry experience, impressive track record and ability to provide tailored-made travel solutions, Travco is an ideal partner for ADNH.”
Bushra said Travco is very excited about the joint venture with ADNH. “ADNH shares with us many goals and values such as raising UAE’s tourism profile and setting new benchmarks in travel and tourism sector, which has grown rapidly in recent years to become one of the most important revenue-generators in the region. We have great expectations about this partnership," he said.
