The 6th Arab Women Media Conference was held in Amman, Jordan (from 26 – 28th June 2007) organized by Arab Women Media Center and Konrad Adenauer Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal.
The conference theme was Arab media women between laws and ethics. The aim of the discussions, papers presented and workshops is to reach an Arab Media Women Code of Ethics. Around 60 Arab women from different media were invited to participate in this conference.
Nisreen Sadek news director at “Al Aan” participated in the workshops and debates held to exchange experiences, express opinions and find solutions to critical cases to reach to a common understanding to the challenges that face the media. The goal of such a conference is to form a media code of ethics that provides successful symbols in the domain and draws the boundaries of staying in the career.
Nisreen Sadek says: “This conference is considered one of the most important conferences that are concerned about the Arabic media organizations. Our participation in it is part of our media responsibility to achieve effective media principles based on credibility and objectivity.”
