Two commanders were among 16 ISIS militants killed in an airstrike in the Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, an Afghani official said on Saturday.
The airstrike was carried out in Momand Dara’s Margha area, and among the dead were Asadullah Orakzai and Shakirullah Kunari, two commanders, according to the Nangarhar governor’s spokesman.
Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces arrested eight suspected militants with four motorcycles, remote-controlled landmines, two hand grenades and other ammunition in an unrelated operation.
