Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika reported this week that 49 percent of Air Algerie will be sold.
Speaking about privatization, Bouteflika was quoted by the North Africa Journal as saying that all large infrastructure projects would be subject to concession, BOT and/or partnership agreements involving foreign interests.
Bouteflika listed the targeted projects, which include the Algiers airport, the split of the telecom and postal functions, the launch of a second GSM license, and the partial privatization of Air Algerie and maritime shipping firm CNAN, it added – Albawaba.com
