Al Ain Mineral Water Company (P.J.S.C.), the fully owned and operated entity of Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage company- AGTHIA Group P.J.S.C. and the second leading bottled water company in the UAE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, a charity dedicated to assisting children diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition and their families by providing an avenue for hope, strength and much joy through the fulfillment of special wishes.
Through this agreement means, Al Ain Mineral Water will be supporting the charitable activities of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE by providing funds, complimentary products and other resources. The MOU was signed in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, a passionate supporter of this charitable organization has been, ever-present in all their activities, as well as the Board Members of Make-A-Wish Foundation. A full-fledged, 3-year partnership agreement between Al Ain Mineral Water Company and the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE is also expected to be signed in the coming weeks.
Speaking after the signing of the MOU, Mr. Fasahat Beg, General Manager of Al Ain Mineral Water said: “. We had the pleasure of hosting some of the Make-A-Wish Foundation children from Tawam Hospital over at the Al Ain Aerobatic Air Show in January, and it was such a wonderful experience. They give you a new perspective in life and they are always so happy regardless of their particular circumstances. Anything that we can do to bring more joy into their lives we will do”.
Nad Al Qubaisi, Member of the Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, who signed the MoU along with Mr. Beg, said: “We are delighted with this agreement and with Al Ain Water, who have been generous and committed in their support of the children. I would like to thank them for their support and we look forward to making good on our promise to make as many ’wishes come true‘ for children with life threatening medical conditions living in the UAE”.

The MOU coincides with the 30th global anniversary of Make-A-Wish Foundation, named World Wish Day, and Al Ain Water’s 20th birthday. To mark the occasion, as well as the signing of the MOU, Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE set-up an Action Zone for children at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi from 27-30 April. The Action Zone includes activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, magicians and clowns, as well many other games, activities and competitions. There will also be an Awareness Zone for potential volunteers to sign up.
