Al-Futtaim reiterates its support for DSF 2010

Al-Futtaim has announced the reiteration of its support for the upcoming 15th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival as a key sponsor. The group, one of the region’s largest family owned businesses, has sponsored DSF since its first edition in 1996.

Dubai Festival City, the flagship property of Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate – an Al-Futtaim division - will once again be the hub of major activities during DSF 2010 which reconfirms the award-winning destination’s position as a leading venue for quality shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

Al-Futtaim’s retail division representing some of the most popular brands like Toys “R” Us, Marks & Spencer, ACE, Intersport and IKEA, will offer promotions and offers, while tenants in Festival Centre are expected to offer innovative discounts, prizes, bargains and special offers during the month-long festivities.

By creating unique retail experiences Al-Futtaim’s businesses that includes Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Volvo and Panasonic, Toshiba, Sanyo, Aftron and Plug-Ins have plans to raise the bar by offering its customers the best offers and promotions.

Dubai Shopping Festival posted impressive visitor and spending figures for its 2009 edition. According to the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), around 3.35 million visitors spent approximately AED 9.8 billion during 32 days in DSF 2009.

“People believe in brand Dubai and have not stopped making this city their favourite port of call. It just goes to prove the unshakable popularity of DSF and that Dubai will always be an attractive shopping and tourism destination for tourists,” Mr. Awad said.
