Qatar-based satellite television channel Al Jazeera has produced the first comprehensive documentary on the September 11 attacks, in the Arabic language.

The documentary takes an extensive look at the events that led to the attacks and the inner workings of Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda network and the Taliban, through various interviews with leading personalities and major players.

Produced on CD-ROM, it contains rare footage of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's speeches, the US attack on the Taliban, personality profiles of key players in the conflict, including US President George W. Bush, Osama bin Laden, and Ayman Al Zawahiri, among others.

Moreover, the CD A Day That Shook the World includes background information concerning the Taliban, the Al Qaeda organization, Afghans of Arab descent and the 19 hijackers accused of carrying out the September 11 attacks on US cities.

According to a statement issued by Al Nisr Distribution, A Day That Shook the World, which is now out in Arabic will be available in English early in the New Year, Gulf News reported.

Al Nisr Distribution has been working closely with the producers of A Day That Shook the World to translate the contents into English for distribution in the United Arab Emirates. Al Nisr Distribution has been appointed sole distributor in the UAE for the Arabic version.

The CD contains exclusive video clips of bin Laden's speeches, Al Qaeda military training and how they raise their children. In addition, it contains a documentary on America's Rendezvous with Destiny. (Albawaba.com)
