ALDAR Properties PJSC is exhibiting at the world’s largest travel trade fair, the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB) this week. The fair which runs until March 11th has allowed Abu Dhabi’s first and leading developer to focus on its Yas Island project.
ALDAR’s Yas Island project will be a prestigious world-class leisure destination with mixed-use tourism attractions including beaches, entertainment, shopping, hotels, residences, golfing, equestrian facilities and motor racing on one of the largest natural islands in Abu Dhabi.
The project is another example of Abu Dhabi’s burgeoning status as a prime tourism destination and consolidates the emirate’s position as an ideal representative for the Middle East at the event. ALDAR’s presence at ITB is pivotal to this representation and the leading developer has chosen to include its world-class tourism project to attract the growing amount of international travelers to Abu Dhabi. More specifically, the number of German tourists who visited Abu Dhabi last year increased by 37% from 2005 and overall tourism is at an all-time high in the emirate.

The International Tourism Exchange Berlin 2007 is taking place across 26 halls of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds and has quickly become one of the most important travel trade fairs in the world. A total of 10,923 companies from 184 countries will be presenting their world-class tourism attractions across 160,000 square metres of exhibition space in the German capital.
