To make Mother’s Day more cheerful, Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom since February 2009, organized a lively outdoor trip to Jeitta Grotto dedicated to SOS Mothers on Friday 30th of April. The trip came as a continuing step for the series of honoring activities that Alfa sponsored since last March for SOS Mothers, through gifts and activities, appreciating their unlimited care and love to the children of SOS Children’s Villages - Lebanon.

The trip was followed by a lunch at “Balcony Restaurant” in the presence of President of the board of SOS Children’s Villages - Lebanon, Mrs. Afifa Dirani Arsanios, Senior Head of Communications & PR at Alfa, Mrs. Aline Karam, Alfa’s team and SOS Mothers. Mrs. Karam welcomed the attendees and highlighted that “mothers are so special and so essential to our families and our society; they are building the future of the country in terms of good citizens. Today, Alfa’s family is extremely happy to be able to show its honest appreciation to all SOS Mothers in Lebanon and to recognize their valuable efforts”.

The day ended with a cake cutting ceremony, celebrating a long journey of sacrifices and care from those SOS Mothers who dedicated their lives and time to raise children at SOS Children’s Villages.

SOS Children’s Villages - Lebanon is one of the social associations that Alfa sponsors within its Corporate Social Responsibility Program (Alfa 4-Life), aiming to support social associations and institutions, working in Lebanon, in their humanitarian causes for helping children with communication needs and empowering women.

It’s worth mentioning that “Orascom Telecom Holding” (OTH) is the international leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and counts almost 93 million subscribers.
