Algeria Backs US Demand for OPEC’s Oil Increase

Algeria’s Minister of Energy Shakib Khelil said that he would support US Secretary of Energy proposals to continue seek for an increase of oil production, reported El Khabar daily. 

Unlike the Gulf countries, Algeria adopted another policy, which consist in showing total support to the United States. Algeria expects to receive in counterpart the USG support, particularly in the economic sector, said the paper.  

The US investment in Algeria reached 3.7 billion dollars, which ranks the North African country in the second position after Saudi Arabia, and before Egypt – Albawaba.com
