Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelaziz Belkhadem reasserted Monday in Paris that there was “no crisis nor tension between Algeria and Morocco.”
Belkhadem, who held a press conference at the exit of the Mediterranean forum’s ministerial session, said there is often “media tension” fuelled “by biased information magnified by rumours.”
“There is a divergence between Morocco and Algeria about the settlement of the Western Sahara issue, but in other fields, notably bilateral cooperation, there is no divergence between us, but rather a joint approach,”
Belkhadem said, according to APS.
“We are ready to fully cooperate with Morocco in all sectors,” he declared, reasserting the fact that “Western Sahara can never be a casus-belli between Morocco and Algeria.”
“Algeria shall never wage war on Morocco and Algeria shall never stop supporting the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination,” he said. (Albawaba.com)
