Algeria will establish full diplomatic relations with Israel as soon as Israel signs final agreements with the Palestinians and Syria, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika told French Jewish leaders on Friday, reported Haaretz.

Bouteflika concluded a four-day official visit to France on Saturday.

Bouteflika expressed his full support for the peace process and said that Algeria has no interest in encouraging the Palestinians to adopt extreme negotiating positions, the paper said, quoting president of the organization of French Jews (CRIF), Henri Hajdenberg.

The Algerian president said that his country might even consider "preferential relations" with Israel after concluding peace accords with all of its neighbors, according to Haaretz – Albawaba.com
